Aux Losanges 

Composer residency in collaboration with AUX LOSANGES. The house is located in the beautiful mountain village of Tschiertschen in the canton of Grisons (Switzerland) and the residency is offered annually for 10 days to one composer. 

Unit Records will cover the costs for the use of the house, the travel expenses, the tuning of the grand piano and the cleaning. The material composed during the residency will be published on Unit Records in the following year, and the renowned graphic artist Niklaus Troxler will design the album cover artwork for all Aux Losanges releases.

Chalet Fur

Artist residency in collaboration with CHALET FUR in Seelisberg. The house is located in the beautiful mountain village of Seelisberg in the canton of Uri (Switzerland) 400 meters above Lake Lucerne. The 200-year-old heritage protected farmhouse will be available for a 10 day residency and will be offered to Unit Artists. The renovated large attic is ideal as a rehearsalroom and therefore perfect as a band resideny. It offers plenty of space and has a wonderful atmosphere. The house is situated on the southern slope of thevillage at approx. 860 m.a.s.l. on a 10’000 square meter meadow without neighbors. This location allows the musicians to rehearse around the clock. 

Unit Records will cover the costs for the use of the house, the travel expenses and the cleaning. The material developed during the residency will be published on Unit Records in the following year. 

Lajes das Flores

Artist residency in collaboration with the municipality of LAJES DAS FLORES on the Azores (Portugal). Located on one of the most remote islands in the Atlantic Ocean, Lajes das Flores offers a unique and highly inspiring environment shaped by volcanic landscapes, the vast ocean, and an exceptional natural richness. The 10-day residency provides a rare opportunity to work in complete focus, surrounded by the raw beauty of nature. The artist will have access to a grand piano, which can be used 24/7.

Unit Records will cover the travel expenses for the artist. Accommodation as well as one complete meal per day will be provided by Lajes das Flores. Any additional food expenses remain the responsibility of the artist.
